Where to…?
Kaffistova is the best place to try home-made Norwegian specialties, served in generous portions at reasonable prices from 135,- NOK (15 €) to 195,- NOK (20 €). We all agreed that it is a way better kind of canteen than IKEA. Definitely worth it! Try Norwegian classic meatballs or reindeer version of it :) Full menu here.
Tim Wendelboe is a Coffee Roastery, Espresso Bar and Training Centre located at Grünersgate 1, on the corner of Fossveien in Grünerløkka, Oslo. Cup(s) of coffee is a must! Prices start at 40,- NOK (4 €). Read the whole article with all the tips here! :)
We loved Monsun Noodlebar located at Helgesens gate 14B in Oslo which we found by accident when we were desperately looking (hungry as hell and exhausted) for some cozy place for our lunch. Probably the best Asian Fusion restaurant we have ever been in! We ordered Bun Thit Nuong for 135,- NOK (15 €) & Duck Teriyaki Noodles for 169,- NOK (18 €) which is quite cheap for Norway :) Definitely „must stop“ spot in Oslo! Next time we have to try one of their Chef Special Rolls or Sushi Donut!
Operahuset Oslo you can not miss! Original modern Norwegian architecture and mind-blowing view from the top of the iceberg structure shaped opera building on the Barcode project. The entry is free.
Surrounding of Aker Brygge district along the coast.
Visit Grünerløkka district full of old industrial buildings and discover numerous little cafés, restaurants, and bars. Grünerløkka is also a popular shopping district, with original design shops and many vintages and second-hand stores.
We loved Fjord Sightseeing by Båtservice. Two-hour guided cruise on the Oslo Fjord full of small islands with red, yellow, white and black summer houses. An adult ticket is 299,- NOK (32 €).
